At AREMA 2025, Lankhorst Rail will introduce the KLP® Hybrid Polymer Crosstie Type 205 — a sustainable, high-performance alternative to traditional wooden and concrete crossties, engineered to meet AREMA Chapter 30, Part 5 standards for composite ties.
Manufactured from high-quality recycled polymer with integral steel reinforcement, KLP® crossties deliver outstanding strength, lateral and vertical stability, and excellent damping characteristics. With an expected service life of up to 50 years, they significantly reduce maintenance and replacement costs.
First installed in 2006, KLP® crossties are approved by leading rail authorities worldwide. Produced at our state-of-the-art 129,000 square foot facility, they are ideal for main tracks, turnouts, bridges, tunnels, and heavy freight lines.
